Selection Procedure for Indian Railways

• RRB announces Employment Notice for various Technical and Non Technical posts. The main Source of Employment Notification is being published on the Internet website (http://www.rrbbnc.gov.in/). The Candidate are Instructed to go through the official website which is given above table. Indicative notification is also given through prominent National & Local dailies for wide circulation.
• The Notification of the Recruitment Involves Eligibility Criteria and the eligible Candidates are called for Computer Based Test. The date of test will be announced well in advance on the official websites.
• Candidates are qualified based on the preliminary exam results and merit list is prepared based on the main test. 
• The selection process is based on merit and its subjected  to the rules and regulations by the Government of India, Ministry of Railways (Railway Board) from time to time, which includes reservation of jobs for certain castes/communities such as Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Communities (OBC). Ex-servicemen and Persons with disability (PWD)
• Finally the successful candidates are called for Document Verification for scrutiny of original documents. A panel of names is then recommended to Zonal Railways to the extent of vacancies. The candidates will be required to pass the prescribed medical examination conducted by the Railways before appointment.
•  The whole recruitment process is computerized and there is no scope for corruption , Influence or Discretion in recruitment Process
